Charles M. King

Charles is an exuberant, healthy person who has held varied positions over the last 55 years. First, as a military officer for 11 years. His assignments included: Guided Missile instructor at Fort Bliss Texas, commanding officer of several military units, including the Army’s long range Pershing missile, as well as command and staff positions. Following military service, Charles founded and served as the Executive Director of a job training facility for disadvantaged people in Mansfield, Ohio. For several years he was a salesman, following which he became a corporate excutive for a publishing company. Charles drew from all of his leadership experiences to become an organization consultant for many blue chip organizations such as GE, Firestone, Ohio Bell, The US Government. This consulting practice spanned 35 years.

For the past sixteen years  Charles has been married to a wonderful wife, Linda. His first wife of 35 years passed away in 1990. The Kings currently reside in Sun City/Hilton Head, SC. They recently relocated from Raleigh, NC. 

Drawing from his many years of experience in leadership and management, Charles now offers mentoring and coaching to individuals in life management, executive success, and leadership effectiveness. In addition, he shares this knowledge by means of inspirational speaking, workshops and writing.

Interests:
Racquetball, Football/Basketball Spectator, Ping Pong, Golf, Swimming. Over the years Charles has volunteered to serve on various boards and committees in communities where he lived, including AARP. He is an inactive Presbyterian elder. Most recently Charles was a member of the Wake County, NC Human Services and Environment Services Board. He was a Senior Active member of Rotary International for many years.
